Dear Wes,

Many thanks for the manuscript. Unfortunately,
I cannot read it right away. I am just about to
go off on an author-tour for Oxford, for the Anec-
dote book, and when I get back there will be a
great pile of things. I wish I could read it right
away, but things are rather frantic right now! As
soon as I can!
