The present study focuses on the role of global citizenship education in shaping students’ self-understandings at elite schools in six countries: Australia, Chile, Denmark, Ghana, Jordan, and Taiwan. In January 2018, Weston Muench made a podcast that outlines the purpose and history of the project:
- How is global citizenship defined within elite schools?
- What lessons are students learning about global citizenship and how are these lessons shaping their understandings of self, others, and the world around them?
- How are increasing global connections and imaginations impacting students’ self-understandings, and what roles do elite schools play in facilitating and mediating these influences?
