The Everdeen School is a K-12 boarding school with campuses located in wealthy suburban communities situated outside major metropolitan areas. The student body of over 3500 attend one of five campuses, four of which are in Australia and one in China. The majority of faculty come from Australia, but there are other members from different parts of the world, including the United States and China. Everdeen follows the state curriculum with modifications to meet the needs of the school. The campuses and other aspects are modeled after traditional British boarding schools. Although the school is co-educational, it adopts the Parallel Model, and separates male and female students in all academic and extracurricular activities at grade 5.
