PRESIDENT STRIDER AND SPECIAL COLLECTIONS
Strider was a significant facilitator for Special Collections gifts during his presidency, working in consultation with Curator Richard Cary. He intervened diplomatically during the clash of philosophies and personalities between Cary and benefactor James Augustine Healy in the 1960s. He also contributed articles to the Colby Library Quarterly.
