Dear Mr. Robinson:
I have your letter about Carl Song. Unfortunately I have completely forgotten what my original question
was, but I gather that you feel fairly sure that he once attended Colby. What probably piqued my imagination was the implication that he was an Olympic star of some sort. If this is true it is worth while pursuing the matter further, especially concerning the Olympic angle. Do you have access to any additional sources of
information about him?
It certainly is good to hear such fine reports about Dana, and I am putting the item about his
commendation in the January 15th issue of the ALUMNUS. We had a beautiful Chinese card from him the other day.
I note with interest that Frank Barnes is an officer of your council. Please give him my regards
when you see him next. I was glad to see something of his brother John when he was here for the trustee meeting in November.
Brothers Johnson, Stevens, et al have apparently roped me into compiling an historical brochure of some
sort on Xi Chapter. Since my personal fund of information is very spotty, I shall have to depend on all of you
fellows for source material. Hence, anything that you can think of in this connection will help me out, and
by all means let’s try to get together a collection of souvenirs as you suggest.
