1936 Berlin: From One Athlete to Another Larger Delegation
By 1936, China’s Olympic participation had expanded into a larger delegation. Song’s role also expanded beyond individual coaching into team organization and delegation of work. This moment shows the growth of Chinese sport as a national and institutional project.
