Arthur G. Robinson ‘1906

Secretary, YMCA Tientsin (1915-1926)

Robinson returned to the United States in May 1915, married Marian Rider in Kansas City that June, and sailed back to China with her later that summer. There, he took up his post as Boys’ Work Secretary for the Tientsin YMCA, where he served until 1926. Robinson chaired the Boys’ Work Committee and pioneered programs that set precedents for the wider China YMCA, including the first Boys’ Camp in China at Wo Fu Ssu.
