Arthur G. Robinson graduated from Colby in 1906 as one of the standout members of his class. He served as co-Editor-in-Chief of the Colby Echo, President of Colby’s YMCA Chapter, and ran the one-mile and two-mile events on the Track Team.
The 1906 Oracle’s senior survey recorded his intended path to be a missionary in China, seven years before he sailed for Shanghai in 1913. Robinson fit the profile the Student Volunteer Movement for Foreign Missions recruited for– the “best and the brightest” — and he’d committed to the work long before he left campus.
