China ponders aging problem as it marks Seniors Day
(Xinhua) BEIJING – Wang Jianping, 63, a healthy retiree from a Beijing-based enterprise, has recently begun searching for nursing homes. “When I cannot move, I will live in the old people’s home and will not inconvenience my children,” Wang said.

从“乐龄家园”到“乐龄小区” 静安提升养老服务能级
(东方网)“黄阿婆,您来啦……李大爷,您来啦……”中午12点,社区里的老人们拿着“乐龄一卡通”来到 南京西路街道威海“乐龄家园”为老服务站点,刷卡吃饭,“乐龄家园”站长周瑾热情地招呼着。老人们脸上洋溢着幸福的笑容,一边吃着饭菜,一边和工作人员寒暄。 记者发现,静安区每个街道每天都在上演着这样一幕。据悉,早在2007年底,构建居家养老社会化服务体系已是静安区政府1号实事项目。
