Everything you need to make sure you do before you leave for Malawi:

• Fundraise as much money as you anticipate needing
• Withdraw (or make sure you have access to) enough money to last for your trip in Malawi
• Make sure your passport will not expire for at leasat 6 months after your anticipated return date
• Book your plane tickets; bring a copy with you and leave one with your emergency contact at home
• Arrange to stay at Mufasa Lodge and make sure you have paid any required deposits
• Collect a list of emergency contacts to take with you
• Leave all your important information (copy of passport, bank information, etc.) with someone trusted at home
• Set up a blog if you want to keep friends at home informed of your month in Malawi
• Pack your bags!
