From the Archives: A Conversation with David Driskell

While access to the Colby Museum galleries is curtailed, The Lantern will be publishing videos, photos, and reflections from our archives. This is a chance for us to reflect on our rich legacy and imagine the many ways that the Museum will continue to grow in the future.

In 2017, the Colby Museum presented artist David C. Driskell with the Cummings Award for Artistic Excellence. As part of the Museum’s annual summer luncheon, Sharon Corwin, the Museum’s Carolyn Muzzy Director and Chief Curator, sat down with Driskell to discuss his work, artistic legacy, and his ties to Maine.
