中国家庭经历着剧烈的变迁，这已成为社会的共识。但是，中国家庭究竟发生着哪些变化？我们如何描述这一变迁、揭示家庭变化的复杂性和多样性、分析变迁的动力和影响家庭的相关因素，以及分析国家应制定何种公共政策以支持家庭，越来越引起学界关注，2011年10月29-30日，由南京师范大学、复旦大学、艾伯特基金会和江苏省社科联联合举办的“中国家庭变迁和公共政策国际研讨会”在南京召开，20多位来自社会学、人口学、性别研究和公共政策研究的中外学者聚集南京，共同探讨中国家庭的变迁和相关公共政策问题。不仅为研究成果的展示，更多问题的讨论和理论观点的碰撞，反映出近年来我国家庭领域本土化研究的丰富与厚实，也反映出研究者日益开阔的国际视野和对理论的多元与不竭的探求精神。笔者不惮浅薄，撷其精华，写成述评，以与更多读者分享。 Continue reading →

Is Pushing Back the Retirement Age Practicable?

Complete text:) In response to questions recently posed by some Internet users, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security commented, “Given the continuing socioeconomic development in our country and the continuing increase in the average lifespan, it is natural to consider postponing the retirement age accordingly.”

That statement immediately caught the attention of people from all walks of life in society.
