The 2025-2026 Men’s team placed 4th at Regionals, a historic placement since Colby’s National’s bid in 2019. To reach this 4th place finish, Colby broke Brandeis on universe point with a deep huck catch by Natty Knight who assisted Jett for the score. The match was brutal: both sides were exhausted for the last few points, with all eight timeouts having been used. Colby’s sideline was electric, carrying team energy even when the on-field players had no energy left to give. Brandeis had beaten Colby three times earlier in the season; twice on universe point and once by two points. Taking home the victory in the final, most important game was delicious.

Colby lost to Bowdoin in the “game to go” for the final nationals bid, but the season was a success. The strong Senior class had been the core of the team for the past four years, particularly through captains Einstein and Donovan nominee Napoleon Dynamite. In their first year of Spring 2023, the team finished 13th at Regionals. In 2024 they finished 7th, and 2025 they ended 5th, which made this 2026 season’s 19-12 record (with four of those losses on universe) and 4th place Regionals finish a historic performance for the team.
