Gear
Cleats – At the basic level, any pair of cleats will work. Many players prefer soccer cleats, but some prefer to play in Lacrosse or Football cleats. A pair of cleats can run you anywhere from $30-120 depending on style and quality, so definitely find a pair of cleats that works for you. If you don’t have experience wearing cleats before, they should fit snugly. generally buying half a size under your regular shoe size is recommended.

Discs/Jerseys – discstore.com is a good place to go if you want cool discs or jerseys. Check out the “misprint” section for discounts on discs and gear.
Friction Gloves- Some players like to play with friction gloves, which make catching a little easier, especially in the rain or cold. You can find them on amazon for $15-$30 depending on brand.
Skill review videos
There are a ton of skill videos on youtube on just about any ultimate topic you can think of from just the basics to super niche aspects of the game. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, come talk to me (Einstein)
Film
For film, USA Ultimate’s Youtube channel has a lot of great games. For watching film applicable to the kind of Ultimate we play here at Colby, I would avoid AUDL. These games are very fun to watch but there are a few key rule differences in these games compared to the Ultimate we play that makes their strategies and systems a little less applicable and harder to learn from.
