Camp Details

Eligibility and Cost

The camp is free and is open to Waterville Public School students who will be in grade 4 or 5 in September 2025. If there is space available we will open it to students entering 6th grade or who do not attend Waterville Public Schools, subject to some constraints. Priority is given to students based on educational need, in consultation with Waterville Public Schools.

Dates

In 2025, the camp will be run as a “Mini-Sum Camp” – a scaled down version, but still with super fun math and art activities.

The camp will be Monday – Friday, June 23 – June 27, 2025 from 8:30 AM – 11:30 AM. Campers are asked to commit to attending every day of the camp.

Location

The camp will be held at the Albert S. Hall School in Waterville, Maine.

Transportation

The camp is a day camp. There will be busing provided to bring your child to camp, but you may also drop-off and pick-up your child yourself. Drop-off is between 8:15 AM and 8:30 AM. Please do not drop-off your child early as camp staff are preparing for the days’ activities. Pick-up is at 11:30 AM. Please do not pick-up your child early or late.

Meals

Breakfast and lunch are provided by Sum Camp, courtesy of Waterville Public Schools. If you like, you may send a bag lunch in with your child, but we do not have the ability to either refrigerate or warm it

Community Guidelines

At Sum Camp we have a strict no bullying policy. Children who engage in repeated harassment of other children will be asked to leave. Additionally, for the fun and safety of all children, we ask that all children cooperate with Sum Camp staff and try their best at each activity.
