Coeducation at Colby

The Mary Low-Louise Helen Coburn Letters is a correspondence between the first alumnae of Colby College, led by the first two women graduates, discussing the 1889 college administration proposal to create two divisions (men’s and women’s), a crucial moment in Colby history. The letters are part of the Colbiana (college archives) Collection. The Low-Coburn WordPress site contains letters, transcripts, photographs and a pamphlet by Low titled “Coeducation at Colby.”
