After coming to Colby, Lee engaged in many extracurricular activities, such as the chemistry club and the musical club.
The Colby Echo recorded Lee’s performance, playing a love song on a traditional two-stringed Chinese instrument with his friend Lee Fu Chi.
Because of his prior education in China and his excellent standing at Colby, Lee graduated after 2 years at Colby. Upon Graduation, Lee was renowned as a “Christmas Present” from China, and the “personification of courteous politeness” by his classmates and Professors.
At Colby, Lee admired Principal Roberts and viewed him as a personal model. Lee wrote on a plaque “the forever teacher model” and gifted it to Principal Roberts, which is still kept at Colby today.
