The Geometric Viewpoint

This is a blog of essays, aimed at undergraduate mathematics majors, on topological and geometric topics. The essays will require different levels of mathematical background and will appear on an ad hoc basis. The Kinoshita graph is a marvelous encapsulation of the relationship between geometry and topology in low dimensions. Perhaps it will be the subject of an essay on this blog?
