During this interview, she talks about her upbringing and what it was like to be raised in Arizona during the 1960s. She talks about how her childhood affected the way she raised her own children in regards to family relationships and how her racial and ethnic identity have affected her in adulthood. This interview covers topics such as racial\/ethnic identity, food, and immigration. I met the interviewee through a friend and the interview was conducted via Zoom because Michelle currently lives in Massachusetts. The interview was conducted by Sarah Kim, a senior Psychology major at Colby College who is interested in social psychology and will be entering the field of dentistry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Biography:<br>Michelle Rhee is a second generation Korean-American who was born in and raised in the United States. Her parents immigrated from South Korea to Michigan in the early-1960s for education and job opportunities. Michelle was born in Michigan in December 1966. She and her family then moved to Arizona when she was three-years-old, which is where she stayed for the rest of her childhood. After graduating high school, she went on to get her Bachelor\u2019s Degree at Smith College in Massachusetts in 1988, and earned a Law degree from Boston University School of Law in 1991. Michelle Rhee currently works at Wells Fargo as the Deputy General Counsel. She lives with her husband and two adult children in Massachusetts.
