Colby College’s Ultimate Frisbee Team, Center for Disc Control (CDC), is a coed club sport open to all Ultimate enthusiasts. Regardless of whether you have played before our not, the team provides a great opportunity for people of all skill levels to truly enjoy the sport of Ultimate and make a bunch of wicked close friends. Do you like throwing things? Yeah! Do you like catching things? Yeah! Do you like age-appropriate-and-responsible partying? Yeah! We’re more than just a team. We’re a family and you’re invited.

Throughout the fall and spring seasons, Colby’s teams play other New England colleges and universities. While the fall season is coed, the spring season is split into men’s and women’s teams. Emphasis will be placed on player development and fun scrimmaging at the beginning of the year, so really don’t worry if you’ve never played before. Another important aspect of our team is the group trip we take down to South Carolina to participate in the High Tide Ultimate Tournament, which is a great way to bond and develop as a team.

We typically practice in the fall and the spring from 4:00-6:00 on the weekdays, and we have various tournaments on the weekends throughout the year. If you would like to learn more about the team, don’t be afraid to contact us. Make sure to visit us at the club fair too!

Check out what Ultimate can look like: our very own Colby alum Matt Smith making this filthy play, which was #5 on SC top ten.
