She was on the Women\u2019s Cross Country, Indoor, and Outdoor Track teams, and loves playing outdoors.<\/p>\n Matt Silverman (\u201912) was a Biology and Environmental Studies: Science double major from Montclair, New Jersey. He was a trip leader and officer for the Colby Outing Club throughout college and led many orientation (COOT) trips. Matt also rowed for the Men\u2019s Crew Team and tapped trees on campus (Sugar Maples)<\/a> to make maple syrup. He loves being outside and has a passion for woodworking.<\/p>\n Molly Susla (’13) continued the work of Matt and Sylvia. She was an Environmental Studies major from Freeport, ME. While at Colby, she worked for the ES program pulling invasive species out of the Perkins Arboretum. She has also led orientation (COOT) trips and was the captain of the Nordic Ski Team.<\/p>\n There are over 1400 trees on the Colby campus, but few of them are known to the casual observer.
