The legacy of Darwin’s theory of evolution is proof that humans are able to adapt to their environment. In other words, societal progression is directly related to the Darwinian principles of adaptation and succession.

Essentially, western society as it exists now is living proof of Darwin’s principles. In the 204 years since Darwin’s death, scientists have made significant quality of life advances in practically every field of science. In fact, society has engineered and applied Darwin’s principles of adaptation and natural selection to various fields such as, medicine in the form of CRISPR gene editing techniques, agriculture in the form of genetic modification/trait selection, technology in the form of artificial intelligence, economics, music, literature, politics and government. Darwin’s innovative approach to describing the evolution of species has kindled its own scientific revolution.
