{"id":2017,"date":"2021-03-22T18:40:03","date_gmt":"2021-03-22T22:40:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.colby.edu\/outingclub\/?p=2017"},"modified":"2021-03-22T18:40:03","modified_gmt":"2021-03-22T22:40:03","slug":"sunnyday-meeting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/web.colby.edu\/outingclub\/2021\/03\/22\/sunnyday-meeting\/","title":{"rendered":"SUNNYday meeting"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">What we did outside:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Joseph biked from downtown up to campus!<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">James and some friends climbed French Mountain after the doghead festivities.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Alice and Joseph led a trip to French Mountain on Friday before doghead.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Taryn walked to campus from downtown.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Jack and Chris climbed trees around Diamond last week!<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Caroline went for a walk in the Arb on Tuesday and was wearing shorts.<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Arb is chilly and still snowy, be aware sandals may not be the best choice!<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Grace watched the sunrise yesterday and it was pretty.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Alice ran as fast as she could to make it to the meeting on campus on time, and she made it!<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">What we want to do outside:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Joseph would like to lead a hike this week.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Lacey would be interested in leading a sunrise hike to enjoy the sun, for many hours after the sun comes up, not only the hours before the sun emerged!<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Bentley and Caroline would like to as well!<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Jack and Alicie will lead a trip sometime soon.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Elections:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Presidential Platforms will be read at our next Sunday Meeting.<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Get your platform to me (megard22@colby.edu) by next Sunday at 5 pm! (and show up to the meeting in order to read your own platform.)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Treasurer, Secretary, Bigelow Buddies, and Camden Comrades election dates will all go out in the email along with the information!<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">T-shirt sticker designs!<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Help the Outing Club design a new T-shirt and sticker to be sold this spring! Designs can be up to 2 colors and should be submitted to coc@colby.edu by March 28, so that we can vote on them and have time to make the T-shirt!<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">WFA<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This will be happening over the first two days of our April break, sign-ups are still open, so sign-up.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Bigelow Buddy Updates<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Gear<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> is open and ready to be checked out and returned if you have it still.<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">We are getting more snow pants and snow boots!<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Trips<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> are happening<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">If you would like a leader profile and went on the LTT, Jack will get them to you soon!<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Sugar<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> trees are running with Sap<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Cabin<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> is closed<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">We have an upcoming <\/span><b>DEI<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> speaker <\/span><b>event<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> with <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/rockies.audubon.org\/contact\/day-scott\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Day Scott<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, a black ornithologist!<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">We are also looking to organize ongoing talks with the NESCAC schools, so we can pool resources and get more speakers for all NESCAC outing clubs.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Do you like your spring rolls:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Fresh: 4<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Fried: 9<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What we did outside: Joseph biked from downtown up to campus!
