&#8211; the end of spooky szn"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">why helllllooooooo there<\/span><\/h2>\n<h2>spooky szn has come and passed and it is time to move onto the next segment of the year &#8211; the giving of thx.\u00a0 as the oaks lose their last bits of leaves and snow flurries stick around a little longer, the sun will slowly lose enthusiasm and pack its bags earlier and earlier.\u00a0 it&#8217;s a lazy sun of a gun.\u00a0 all of this means that the outdoors will be a little bit more precious and worth savoring.\u00a0 go forth and bask in the shades of gray!<\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">what we done did<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">jackie and zoe tried to hike mt abraham but could not find the trailhead and there was plentiful snow so bushwhacked for 4 miles and then went to mt blue instead<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">wow<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">no blood sweat or tears<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">joseph and the woodsmen had a woodsmen thing<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">john and megan and soren and also joseph went on a costume hike to french mountain and soren had the best costume (in john\u2019s words, and also soren&#8217;s words)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">zoe went to round top on saturday with jackie and some folks and there was rain but no snow<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.colby.edu\/outingclub\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/124\/2018\/11\/IMG_5870-e1541470068179.jpg\">megan and soren and dalton went to three lighthouses.\u00a0<\/a> <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">keenan and \u201ca couple\u201d folks went to quarry road in the snow and witnessed the wonderful descent of the nascent winter<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">max be quiet<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">kaitlin went to tumbledown by herself and did not go swimming but there was not as much snow as she had hoped \ud83d\ude41 \u00a0so many dogs! fantastic. dog hiking szn<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">what we gon do<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">soren wants to go up the bigelows<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">michael stone wants to lead a night hike but has no general ideas.<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">he desires a co leader<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">megan wants to go through the arb (formally)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">keenan is gonna go outside and VOTE on tuesday<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">LTT<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">it\u2019s this weekend!<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">if you signed up you\u2019re probably on the trip, you\u2019ll hear officially sometime soon!<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">in acadia!<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">what to make a fire, make people feel included, plan a trip, etc.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cits a great mandatory part of the leader process\u201d<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">WFA<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">the weekend after this coming weekend (17th-18th)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">sign ups went out yesterday!<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">what is this??<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">wilderness first aid!<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">held on campus, saturday and sunday<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">learn how to treat various illnesses and traumatic injuries<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">both lecture and hands on!<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">if you use this as part of your COC leader process, it\u2019s free<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">recertifications are also free, as long as you lead two trips
