{"id":1592,"date":"2017-10-02T17:25:54","date_gmt":"2017-10-02T21:25:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.colby.edu\/outingclub\/?p=1592"},"modified":"2017-10-02T17:25:54","modified_gmt":"2017-10-02T21:25:54","slug":"101-fall","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/web.colby.edu\/outingclub\/2017\/10\/02\/101-fall\/","title":{"rendered":"10\/1 &#8211; fall!"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>hey y&#8217;all here&#8217;s some minutes, fresh out of the oven!\u00a0 just like momma used to make<\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>stuff we done did<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Michael Kramer hiked to Early Bird and dipped in the Messalonskee, &#8220;very refreshing&#8221;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Jared, Soren (that&#8217;s me) and Anna went through the Natch and stayed at Speck Pond, &#8220;cold&#8221;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Max, Soren, and trippers went to The Mountain, &#8220;maybe found the summit&#8221;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Keenan went to Prout&#8217;s Neck for a field trip, wants to lead coastal hikes in the future<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Grace and Taryn and ppl tried to go surfing, but the roof rack malfunctioned to much dismay, then went to Popham beach anyway which was fun<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\">Mo and Anna Ramsey accidentally ran a half marathon (!)<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Sam Wells went up Sugarloaf and Spaulding and Abraham with Katie <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Michael Stone used the slack line!<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Keller led a trip to Philip with Ana and ASA, Phil Collins prompted some tears<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Soren napped in a particularly grassy spot in the arb<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Sam went up Philip on Wednesday, it was dark and they barely got lost<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Hannah went up Philip, saw 11 yr old Logan (dog)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>stuff we gon do<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Soren wants to go to French Mtn and cook all the leftover food in the office<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Michael Stone will have kayak klinics! at pool 7:30 &#8211; 9:30 Thursday<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">SPACECOC! November 2nd (a Thursday), there will be a trip to the cabin with telescopes!<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>LTT<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">next weekend!<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">leader training trip!<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">mandatory if you want to lead fun trips! and boring trips too!<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">second one in november, 1st weekend, or maybe not<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">learn stuff!<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">priority for first years in november<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Demo day<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Friday 4-7 on Dana Lawn!<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">We&#8217;ll be demoing gear, also knot tying and cooking maybe<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">A nice wholesome learning experience<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Volunteers needed!
