I\u2019m an environmental policy major with a math minor who is continuously stressed out about graduating. I love the outdoors because, like I say often, it is hard to be stressed out about life when you are on top of a mountain. I am trying to do as much hiking as possible because I love it, and because I think it is the best way to know a place. My current project are the 4000 footers of Maine. Ahoy! I’m Anya! I am a crunchy Washingtonian who somehow ended up in the middle of nowhere Maine roughly 2,500 miles from home.  I am an avid Colby Squirrel  enthusiast and would love to catch one before I graduate. As a DEI Bigelow buddy I work with other groups on campus to promote outdoor education and diversification of the outdoors. We collaborate with campus communities like FLI\/INT and the Pugh Center and will be working to bring speakers to campus to share Penobscot culture, history and understanding of the  landscape of the Penobscot Nation and highlighting Wabanaki voices. We would love your feedback and ideas surrounding ways to promote outdoor education and increase accessibility to the outdoors for students of all backgrounds.<\/em><\/p>\n
