I’d live on central park, not having to hire or worry about landscaping. I’d have access to all the amenities I could ever need and not have to worry about taking care of my own private gym, spa or pool. Sure it might not be as personal as my own sprawling campus of a house, but I’d have more flexibility to live the lifestyle that I want to live.

Speaking of that lifestyle, the primary thing I would want to do if I were rich is travel the world. If I have so much money that I don’t even need to work, what sense does it make to spend that time in my house. After all, part of the reason I chose a penthouse is to not deal with the upkeep of a massive estate. I’d make sure to travel to every continent for sure, but I also would try to stay in touch with the local culture. I wouldn’t want to stay walled off in the Four Seasons Mumbai, eating Italian room service while watching French dramas in a room decorated similar to the apartment that I call home. Instead I would immerse myself in each new place I visited, seeing what the locals do and enjoy, seeing what each new city was like for the majority of the people who lived there. I could eat at little holes in the wall with great fresh and local food, find what the locals do to entertain themselves and still find some time to do the touristic essentials. What’s even better is that I would stay for at least a month at a time, forcing me to at least get a taste of local life.

As for the way I get to these places, I’m not the type of person to fly a private jet, but lets just say that the days of coach are behind me. For sure the way that I’d want to go for now are the awesome new private cabins in Emirates’ new jetliners. I’d have privacy, class and comfort without the massive operating costs of a private jet I wouldn’t even use that often.

If I were rich I wouldn’t have a stereotypical mansion, but instead a penthouse in the city.
