Students not only learn French (developing their speaking, comprehension, reading, and writing abilities), they use French to learn, doing analytical work related to France&#8217;s past (using Louis Malle&#8217;s screenplay and film<i>Au Revoir les enfants<\/i> as a point of departure) and France&#8217;s present (through class excursions).
