What it is:

3D printing is a process of transforming a digital object into a physical one. The printing done in Mule Works is achieved by precisely melting spools of plastic into the shape seen on the computer, all controlled by a computer program. \u00a03D printing has been used to create sculptures<\/a>, mechanical objects<\/a>, clothing<\/a>, or replicas of priceless artifacts<\/a>.<\/p>\n

How to get started:<\/strong><\/h1>\n

To begin printing, you will need to take a workshop to learn how to use the printer. \u00a0Once certified, you will be able to print files.
\nWhen beginning with 3D printing, Thingiverse<\/a> is a helpful website to find models that are ready to print. \u00a0To modify these objects, explore Meshmixer, Blender, or Maya \u2014 all software found on the Mule Works computers.<\/p>\n
