BURKE is a writer of nonfiction, whose work has appeared in national and international forums, from <em>The New York Times<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0<em>Boston Globe,<\/em>\u00a0to the\u00a0<em>Sunday Times\u00a0<\/em>(South Africa), and in\u00a0<em>Down East, Outside, Yankee, Islands,\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0<em>A\/B Architecture Boston<\/em>.\u00a0 His subjects range from snow camping to sea kayaking, from country fairs in Maine to travels in Sardinia, Basilicata, Scotland, and South Africa.
