Boreal Songbird Initiative – Please help!
The
Boreal Songbird Initiative, along with other environmental groups like Bird Studies Canada, Nature Canada, the David Suzuki Foundation, among others created a petition called “Save our Boreal Birds” a little over a year ago. This petition will be sent to the Prime Minister of Canada and many provincial leaders, and asks that vital bird habitat be kept intact despite the fact that over 30% of the Boreal Forest has already been designated for development. Many migratory birds that travel through the US and other countries breed in the Boreal Forest to the north.
Sign the petition at SaveOurBorealBirds.org to protect Canada’s Boreal Forest on behalf of the billions of birds that breed there!

Hi Julie,
A number of Waterville birders do participate in the Augusta Bird Club. We do not have a local Waterville club.
Cheers,
Herb

Hi. I’ve been enjoying your blog. Since you don’t have e-mail, I’m leaving this message here. Last year I went birding with folks in Waterville around this time of year. I don’t remember how I found the schedule of walks, and I can’t find anything onlin3 for Waterville except Augusta birder’s club outings. Is there still a Waterville club? My e-mail is [email protected]
Thanks! And thanks for the lovely blog.
