This work draws inspiration from time at beloved Monhegan Island, Pemaquid Point, and the Rachel Carson Preserve, Maine, places that have long attracted artists seeking the \u201csublime.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Tidal Pool, Rachel Carson Preserve, New Harbor, Maine <\/em>depicts my first time at the Tidal Pool, on a return trip from Monhegan. When the tide is out, one can wade in and briefly experience marine life. This well-known landmark attracts tourists and artists who want to capture it in the best light.
