It was painted <em>en plein air<\/em> in a garden planted by Carly Glovinsky, that sits in the footprint of the building where May Sarton lived and worked, on a hill on the Surf Point property called Wild Knoll. It gave off the most beautiful orange light that is so rarely seen.
