wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>Artist&#8217;s Statement<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When Jackson Pollock was asked about the structure or touchstone of nature that informed his drip technique, he replied, \u201cit\u2019s in the trees.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If asked about the touchstone to nature of my technique in this series of paintings, I would say, \u201cit\u2019s the granite coast of Maine . . . the fractures, clefts, strata, and textures that hint at a language and reveal the history of seismic change.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column
