El Niño and climate change have led to transitions of weather resulting in multiple historical unexpected floodings, erratic temperatures, and severe unusual weather.
Birth has recently triggered my thoughts. I have been carefully observing the life cycle as a metaphor of the beauty of life.
In February 2022 I received a Phalaenopsis Orchid as a present. Later, buds appeared on the vine and the cycle continued. The buds blossomed and transformed into a beautiful plant that had Magenta flowers. These flowers didn’t look real.
As the buds slowly dried up and shriveled away, the plant was left with large succulent leaves but there were no flowers. After the plant remained dormant, the buds appeared and bloomed again. The earliest bud blossomed the day our first grandchild was born. This was a welcoming symbol of the beginning of a new life blooming and growing.
