Dr. Rutledge was a professor in the Department of Atmospheric Science at Colorado State University from 1988 until 2006. The focus of his current research includes electrification within isolated and mesoscale convection, and the organization of tropical convection. He credits Joanne with bringing him the most important opportunities by opening the tropics to his research.
