Professor in the Department of Atmospheric Science, Dr. Cotton has co-authored three books and authored one. He is best known for his work on cloud physics and mesoscale meteorology. Joanne Simpson was Cotton’s mentor, and he worked alongside her at NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration).
