After a brutal 4:30 a.m. wake up, 70 miles of driving, 800 miles of flying, two packets of Delta pretzels, and heart pounding taxi ride, we had arrived.
We quickly settled in and found ourselves venturing off toward Whale Bone Bay, where we found a lot of chitons. To get there, we followed the rail trail, which conveniently follows the trail of the old rail road. Stunning views of the ocean were contrasted by cross bedding in the rock face: the sign of historic sand dunes that have since become limestone.
