Me

Hi! My name is Erin Trainor. I am a senior majoring in Global Studies and Anthropology at Colby College in Waterville, ME. During the spring semester of my junior year, I interned at the Jamie Oliver Food Foundation in London, England. I spent most of my time with the marketing team for Jamie’s Kitchen Garden Project (KGP). KGP aims to bring food education and cooking skills to children in UK primary schools. My time at Jamie Oliver piqued my interest in food education and inspired me to bring Jamie Oliver’s message back to my home state. I am excited about the idea of teaching others, especially children, about nutrition. I believe that food education has the power to change lives for the better. It is my hope that these lesson plans will give educators the tools they need to start teaching children about making healthy food choices. Dig in and enjoy!
