Watershed Workshop

Local K-12 educators and Colby students worked with Phil Mulville, Lake Educator with the Maine Congress of Lake Associations (Maine COLA), and Tom Mullin, COLA’s Education Director, in a workshop developed to introduce teachers to education programs that focus on aquatic invasive species and ecological aspects of the Belgrade Lakes. Educators for students in grades 5-8 are invited to view the video. For follow-up information and possible classroom visit, please contact Phil Mulville ([email protected]). Participating classes will eventually take a field trip this spring to Great Pond for lake-based activities aboard a floating classroom and land-based activities in the nearby Kennebec Highlands.
