All the time I was typing<br \/>\nit, I was convinced no one had written a book this good. Now, I am<br \/>\nconvinced it is no good at all.<\/p>\n<p>In my off-moments, I think that section 2\u2019s \u201cporno poems,\u201d<br \/>\nthrough which I recall the wildly male-chauvinist world of<br \/>\nadolescence, are not the right thing. And then I begin to think<br \/>\nthat these and some of my other earlier poems are not tight enough<br \/>\nin their form. It gets worse.<\/p>\n<p>Help! Please let me know what you think! Could it be that<br \/>\na miracle has occurred, and I am done?<\/p>\n<p>Yours in desperation,<\/p>\n<p>Wes<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<hr \/>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><em><strong>A note from McNair about this letter:<\/strong><\/em><\/span> The &#8220;porno poems&#8221; of paragraph, referred to elsewhere as &#8220;dirty poems,&#8221; are two off-color poems leftover from my chapbook, intended to reflect the hormonal explosion of teenhood.
