I think the 5th would have<br \/>\nbeen OK too, but if Carl prefers the 11th, let\u2019s just make it the 11th.<br \/>\nAny and all class visitations will be just fine. also. [sic] Sometimes it seems<br \/>\nbest to have class visitations <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">after<\/span> the lecture rather than before, so<br \/>\nthat kids may have some questions to ask. I\u2019d be happy to come up Tuesday<br \/>\nmorning the 12th. (Tuesday afternoon I\u2019ll be going up to Dartmouth to give<br \/>\na lecture.) For that matter, I could come back on Wednesday if it were<br \/>\nbetter.<\/p>\n<p>The pay is excellent. Thank you for all this.<\/p>\n<p>Two weeks from now sounds fine for dinner. My daughter will be with<br \/>\nus until the morning of March 16th, so maybe it will be better to have it<br \/>\na St.Patrick\u2019s Day dinner or shortly thereafter &#8211; which would be actually<br \/>\ntwo weeks from when you wrote the letter, I guess. But you will telephone<br \/>\nanyway. [<em>Handwritten in margin: Actually not the 17th\/ 18? 19?<\/em>]<\/p>\n<p>I look forward to hearing about Marietta. I\u2019m delighted that it<br \/>\nwent extraordinarily well. Delighted; I\u2019m not surprised! I\u2019ve been reading<br \/>\nthe manuscript over, by the way &#8211; the new or retyped manuscript which you<br \/>\nsent me. And there\u2019s no question: <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">things hold up<\/span>. Have you heard anything<br \/>\nfrom New Rivers?<\/p>\n<p>Jane is going through the struggle of finishing a manuscript right now,<br \/>\nto send out to people. Publishers, that is.
