Dear Don,<\/p>\n

I like the content of your poem, The Baseball Players,
\nvery much, and I especially like the form \u2013 the way lines
\nare broken, and (especially) the verbs<\/span> you\u2019ve chosen.
\nThe poem, through these verbs, is active, yet arrests<\/span>,
\nas you intend it to. How few poets today know the potential
\nof verbs!<\/p>\n

Incidentally, my favorite verb in the poem is \u201cestablished.\u201d
\nThanks for sending the photocopy. As it happens, I received
\nmy July issue a couple of days before your letter arrived.<\/p>\n

I enclose a poem which I hope you\u2019ll like. Fine
\nto wait on the other poems. I will send you a retyped
\nbatch, perhaps including this one, and some others, in
\nmid-September.<\/p>\n
