Dear Wes,<\/p>\n

Got back from a Florida trip to find your two
\nletters. This will be typed while I am down in Arkansas,
\nthen Pennsylvania on the way back. And I think that
\nJane will be up in New London Hospital in the meantime.
\n[Written in margin<\/em>: She spent a week there;
\nhome now and doing better].
\nShe has been having trouble with her medications,
\nand with the complexities of getting the right dose
\nof medications. It is kind of awful right now, and she
\nfeels rotten, and therefore I feel rotten\u2026 But I do
\nreally know that she will be all right. I would be
\ndelighted to talk with you about writing classes.
\nFor the most part, I taught elitist<\/span> writing classes,
\nwith students like Jane Kenyon\u2026 But I did some other
\nstuff too.<\/p>\n

I must live some more with this old version.
\nI don\u2019t think I really believe it! That you believe
\nit so strongly is most moving to me\u2026<\/p>\n

My notion is that when I said that I was asking
\nfor my father\u2019s forgiveness, that it was sort of a
\nmisdirection, and rather a grand stand gesture.<\/p>\n

I know about Kathleen Anderson at Norton.
\nShe turned Jane down; but she took Ellen Voigt.
\nI think she is excellent, though she can make a
\nmistake from time to time. I think it would be
\nwonderful to be published by Norton!<\/p>\n
