Always liked that one!<\/p>\n<p>Will hang onto \u201cThe Faith Healer\u201d<br \/>\nuntil the end of the summer &amp;<br \/>\nthen have another go at it for<br \/>\nnew submissions.<\/p>\n<p>Best,<\/p>\n<p>Wes<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<hr \/>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><em><strong>A note from McNair about this letter:<\/strong><\/em><\/span> In the opening paragraph I refer to Don&#8217;s \u201cstraight talk\u201d about \u201cThe Faith Healer.\u201d His criticism hurt because in that poem, I felt I had found a way to deal with a father&#8217;s violence toward a son, violence that I knew from my relationship with my stepfather.
