Could you bear, please, to add a<br \/>\ncomma after \u201cand in the field,\u201d\u2026? I think you would need one<br \/>\nin prose, for the grammar, and I miss it here.<\/p>\n<p>The only other thing I wonder about is the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">force<\/span> of \u201ca<br \/>\ncentury old\u2026\u201d That is, I don\u2019t know whether that is supposed<br \/>\nto be old, or young, or how that is supposed to be relevant \u2013 the<br \/>\nage itself. A century old is only an 1882 house, and it is not<br \/>\nvery old for around here. What are you telling me, when you tell<br \/>\nme this? I understand what you are telling about the trees, and<br \/>\nheaven knows the Buicks \u2013 which are absolutely marvelous! But<br \/>\nwhat is that house a hundred years old for? Would it make any<br \/>\ndifference if it were wood or stone or brick? Or green or white<br \/>\nor red? Or just a hundred years old? So it \u201cbegs a question,\u201d<br \/>\nlike they say. But I am being fairly picayune, I think.<\/p>\n<p>Good for you with your writing on a schedule. Excellent.<\/p>\n<p>Joey gets frustrated because people don\u2019t answer letters\u2026<br \/>\nBut Joey does not get so frustrated for <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">other<\/span> people\u2019s manuscripts<br \/>\nas other people get \u2013 or as Joey would get, were Joey handling his<br \/>\nown!
