I am holding down the house while<br \/>\nDiane prepares to go under the knife one more time<br \/>\nat Mary Hitchcock. Now, she has a ruptured disc.<br \/>\nIt looks as if she will be more-or-less OK<br \/>\nafter the operation and the ensuing period of recuperation,<br \/>\nbut the recuperation will take 3-4 months, and<br \/>\nmuch of that time, she will be flat on her back.<br \/>\nShe probably won\u2019t be finished with this thing until<br \/>\nOctober.<\/p>\n<p>Diane tells me that fate has also played a trick<br \/>\non Jane. After the experience with my father-in-law<br \/>\nlast fall, I can imagine how troublesome this period<br \/>\nis for her. <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Please<\/span> wish her well for me.<\/p>\n<p>I will try to keep you posted on Diane\u2019s condition<br \/>\nafter this <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">new<\/span> surgery.
