I love it, and it is with the New Yorker.<br \/>\nI did not show it to Jane before, so I took the opportunity<br \/>\nto show her this. As I knew she would, she <del datetime=\"2012-02-29T16:47:00+00:00\">enjoys <\/del>adores it. I<br \/>\nthink maybe you get better and better!<\/p>\n<p>Sorry to be the one to have to tell you about Jim Wright\u2019s<br \/>\ndeath. I guess there had been no news of it in the Globe<br \/>\nor any place. It will hit the poetry press in all the next<br \/>\nissues! There was a long obituary in the New York Times.<\/p>\n<p>I am sorry that Fran is no longer able to consider<br \/>\nthe manuscript at Harper &amp; Row! I guess she had to send<br \/>\nit back, because she is going away for two months now, to<br \/>\nEurope and India, and she has not signed on with any new<br \/>\nhouse. And also, as she says, the scene in New York is absolutely<br \/>\nhorrible.<\/p>\n<p>Did you not send a sample into Houghton Mifflin, and<br \/>\nJon Galassi? You probably told me what happened, but I<br \/>\ncannot remember. Refresh me please. I have a tremendous<br \/>\nhabit of forgetting things, which I like to think is somewhat-<br \/>\ndeliberate, as a way of dealing with seventy-nine different<br \/>\nitems in the course of every day that I live. It is probably<br \/>\nmy excuse for incipient senility.<\/p>\n<p>I do have some other notions about the book, but nothing<br \/>\nthat I can be concrete about right now, and nothing to be<br \/>\nexcited about.
