I really believe in<br \/>\nkeeping things around two or three<br \/>\nyears before you send them out. I don\u2019t<br \/>\nalways do it, especially when a book is<br \/>\ndue. But I have not sent anything out<br \/>\nsince <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Kicking the Leaves<\/span>, and I probably<br \/>\nwon\u2019t for another six months or perhaps<br \/>\ntwelve months. I have things that are<br \/>\nprobably finished. Well, they\u2019re probably<br \/>\nnot, really \u2013 but they might as well be.<br \/>\nThey haven\u2019t yet gone through the Ordeal<br \/>\nby Friendship, wherein I send them to all<br \/>\nmy friends who lacerate them. I\u2019m about to<br \/>\nstart doing that, with a few of them.<\/p>\n<p>But I have thought dimly of sending<br \/>\nsome things out this spring but I think I<br \/>\nprobably won\u2019t until next autumn. And<br \/>\nthen I have a list of magazines that I<br \/>\npromised to send things to. Therefore, it<br \/>\nwill be a while. But I will probably make<br \/>\nit eventually, if I live long enough, and<br \/>\nI look forward to it. I also look forward<br \/>\nto seeing you guys next week.
