There are bikes and desks in the nap,<\/p>\n<p>2<br \/>\ncorridors of glory, water, and pots of ivy hooked to ceiling<br \/>\nor ocean floor. Apes play with papers on the busy desk<br \/>\nI swim up to, through laborious sleep water. Rex the butcher<\/p>\n<p>3<br \/>\nwears a straw hat sleeping on sawdust. When the extinguished<br \/>\nU-boat, flapping bat wings, settles under millennial silt,<br \/>\nwhose eyes glean through the periscope? They are Regina\u2019s.<\/p>\n<p>4<br \/>\nTwo squadrons of black biplanes dogfight over the trenches<br \/>\nof nineteen-seventeen, death\u2019s-deads graven on engine cowlings,<br \/>\nhelmeted pilots\u2019 faces turned into skulls, and their bones<\/p>\n<p>5<br \/>\nas shadowy blue as underwater feet in the shoestore x-ray<br \/>\nThe gibbon\u2019s cry hobbles on the wooded shore, like the cry<br \/>\nof this bed.
